Armenia justice minister: Tomorrow new start is given to discussion of new constitution, new ideas

Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan reflected on the process of constitutional reforms in Armenia at a briefing with reporters Wednesday, and noted that tomorrow the respective committee will hold a meeting to discuss the proposal of Daniel Ioannisyan, a member of the Council on Constitutional Reforms, to revise the constitutional regulations of the stable majority in the country.
It was proposed to discuss specific constitutional articles that can be amended without a referendum.
"It is a new concept, a new idea that we will discuss; the Council will decide. There is a preliminary perception that the constitutional referendum will take place in 2027. Until then, what is important is that we have a fairly normal time so that in detail, through public discussions, working with the professional community, the Council itself, as they are people who are engaged in various projects, can calmly analyze in detail by hiring experts.
We have matters that we have already voted on and discussed, but we also have a huge work to do. It can be said that tomorrow the new start is given to the discussion of the new constitution and, by the way, new ideas," said the Armenian minister of justice.
