Vice President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, will visit Armenia on September 9 to participate in the launch of the Visa Liberalization Dialogue with the EU, according to the statement published by the European Commission.
It is noted that for this, Armenia needs to implement reforms in such key areas as border security, migration, and respect for fundamental rights and freedoms related to travel.
Also, Schinas will meet with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, PM Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy PM Mher Grigoryan, and FM Ararat Mirzoyan, and will deliver a speech at Yerevan State University.
In July, the EU foreign ministers had agreed to launch the Visa Liberalization Dialogue with Armenia.
