French investments in Azerbaijan's economy increased 77 times
Foreign direct investment in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to $4 billion 522.6 million in the first nine months of this year.
Yeniavaz.com reports citing official data, foreign direct investment increased by $150.3 million compared to the same period last year.
For the first nine months of this year, 28.8% of foreign direct investment ($1 billion 304 million) came from the UK.
It should also be noted that for the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the volume of French investment in the economy of Azerbaijan increased 77 times - from $1.2 million to $91.6 million. During this period, the volume of Russian investment in the economy of Azerbaijan decreased by 3 times - from $294.5 million to $97.9 million.
The top 10 countries investing the most in the economy of Azerbaijan were as follows:
United Kingdom – 28.8% ($1 billion 304 million);
Turkey – 20.2% ($912 million);
Cyprus – 12.2% ($553.7 million);
United Arab Emirates – 7.9% ($356.3 million);
Iran – 6.1% ($275.9 million);
Japan – 4% ($180.6 million);
Hungary – 3% ($133.7 million);
Norway – 2.3% ($102.6 million);
USA – 2.3% ($102.2 million);
Russia – 2.2% ($97.9 million);
France – 2.2% ($91.633 million).
