UN Secretary-General to visit Uzbekistan on 30 June
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – UN Secretary-General António Guterres will visit Uzbekistan from 30 June to 1 July. This was announced by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
According to the information, the UN chief will arrive at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
High-level negotiations are planned in Tashkent, where the parties will discuss issues related to expanding and strengthening Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the UN and its institutions. Current aspects of global politics and regional interaction will also be addressed.
Special attention will be given to supporting measures aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan.
During his visit, Guterres will visit several industrial and social facilities, as well as hold bilateral meetings and events.
