Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbek boxing representative Sitora Turdibekova (-57 kg) has successfully completed her first fight at the Olympics.
In the initial round, Turdibekova faced Marcella Sakobi from the Democratic Republic of Congo and won, advancing to the next stage.
In her upcoming bout on 2 August, Turdibekova will compete against two-time world champion Yu-Ting Lin from Taipei, China, for a spot in the quarterfinals.
