US State Department refrains from commenting on recent talks for Armenia-Turkey relations’ normalization

Vedant Patel, Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the Department of State, refrained from commenting on the recent meeting for the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
"I don’t. I would leave it to the two respective countries to speak to that," Patel said at Wednesday’s State Department press briefing—and in response to a reporter’s question as to whether he has any comment on the fifth meeting between the Armenian and Turkish Special Representatives for the normalization of bilateral relations and the aforesaid meeting in general.
The Armenian foreign ministry issued a statement after of the meeting of the Special Representatives of Armenia and Turkey at the Margara border checkpoint of Armenia Tuesday.
