EU-Armenia-US joint conference may encourage Armenia to new provocations - Azerbaijan's FM

Azerbaijan'sMinister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan's peace and construction efforts in the region, in a meeting with Pavel Knyazev, ambassador on special tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, APA reports.

Mr Bayramov said that several steps that create new challenges in the direction of advancing the peace process, including the attempts of states located far from the region to project their unilateral positions on the region, are hindering the process.

Azerbaijan's FM noted that official Baku clearly expressed concerns regarding the organization of the EU-Armenia-US joint conference to be held on April 5 of this year in such a non-transparent and non-inclusive environment, as well as our concerns that such initiatives may encourage new provocations in Armenia, where revanchist mood prevails.
