According to the preparation plan of 2024, joint training "SAT-SAS-2024" is being held in the brotherly country with the submarine attack and underwater defense units of the Naval Forces of the Republics of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan released information, APA reports.
In the joint exercise held at the Aksaz naval base in the Marmaris city of the Republic of Türkiye, naval special forces performed the tasks of seizing target ships with high professionalism.
In the following days of the exercise, according to the plan, the special-purpose units of both countries will carry out the tasks of developing land and sea combat tactics, performing helicopter landing methods, occupying conventional coastal territory, searching for and destroying unexploded ammunition and sea mines.
The joint training will continue until November 29.
