The Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) has strongly denounced the attempts by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other US officials to interfere in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, Olaylar informs.
"We have not seen the US condemn Armeniachr("39")s occupation of Azerbaijani lands, the policy of ethnic cleansing, or the deportation of Western Azerbaijanis. Instead of standing with Azerbaijan, whose lands were occupied, or with the hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, US officials have sided with Armenia and a group of marginal elements," the statement read.
The Community also pointed out that the US failed to respond to a letter addressed to Secretary Blinken by the WAC. "Yet, they welcome separatists who participated in the ethnic cleansing of the Azerbaijani people with open arms, granting them visas and providing opportunities to speak at various US institutions," the statement read.
