In January-September 2024, 164 926 thousand barrels of oil was transported through Türkiye’s territory via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, which is 3,93% less in annual comparison, APA-Economics reports citing Türkiye’s BOTAŞ company.
According to the company, 171 677 thousand barrels of oil were transported through the territory of Türkiye via BTC pipeline in the corresponding period of 2023.
Note that 228 811 thousand barrels of oil was transported through Türkiye via BTC pipeline last year, which is 1,5% more compared to the 2022 figure.
Recall that oil produced from Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields is imported via BTC pipeline. Additionally, the oil of other producers is also sent to the territory of Türkiye via BTC pipeline.
