During the first nine months of this year, 1867.63 tons of pineapples, 609.34 tons of avocados and 940.2 tons of grapefruits were imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries.
Yeniаvaz.com reports with reference to published official data, the average customs value of 1 kilogram of imported pineapple is 1 dollar (1.7 manat), avocado - 2.8 dollars (4.8 manat), grapefruit - 0.97 dollars (1.6 manat).
For information, pineapples are imported to Azerbaijan mainly from Costa Rica (98%), avocados - from Peru (48.5%), Turkey (30.6%) and South Africa (12%), grapefruits - mainly from Turkey (61.2%) and the Republic of South Africa (37.2%).
