Next year, the subsistence minimum and the threshold of the need criterion will be set at 285 manats in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This is reflected in the draft laws “On the subsistence minimum in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025” and “On the threshold of the need criterion in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025” that were put up for discussion at today's session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament)
The subsistence minimum and the threshold of the need criterion will be increased by more than 5.5 percent compared to 2024, from 270 manats to 285 manats.
In 2025, the subsistence minimum for the working-age population will be 305 manats. The subsistence minimum is projected to be 232 manats for pensioners and 246 manats for children.
It should be noted that the subsistence minimum for 2024 was set at 287 manats for the working-age population, 222 manats for pensioners, and 235 manats for children.
The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
