54 thousand children in Azerbaijan did not receive benefits
Last year, 122,620 children were born in Azerbaijan.
Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to official data from the State Statistics Committee, 51.8%, or 58 thousand 381 children born during the year received a lump sum birth benefit.
As can be seen from the published official data, almost half of the children born during the year - 54 thousand 239 children - did not receive a one-time benefit.
It should also be noted that, in contrast to the official statistics published by the State Statistics Committee, information released by the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) on January 12 of this year shows that for 12 months of 2023, the Fund proactively assigned and paid a one-time benefit in connection with the birth of 111,585 children.
As can be seen from the disclosed information, there is a sharp difference between the information named by SSC and the information of the State Social Protection Fund.
The following table shows the number of children born over the last 8 years, the number of children who were assigned a lump sum benefit at the birth of a child, and their ratio.
As can be seen from the data, the number of children receiving benefits has decreased compared to previous years.
