"IbelievehewillparticipateintheBRICSsummitinKazan.Wearecurrentlypreparingforthisvisitsothatitwillbeusefulandsuccessfulforourbilateralrelations,"theambassadorsaid."Asfarasbilateralrelationsareconcerned,ameetingwiththeRussianleaderVladimirPutinisplanned,aswellasbilateralmeetingswithotherleadersandwiththeIraniancommunity,andaspeechatthesummit,"headded.
AnagreementonacomprehensivestrategicpartnershipbetweenIranandRussiamaybesignedattheBRICSsummitinKazan,thedocumenthasbeenfinalized,Jalaliadded.
"WecanalsopostponethesigningofthisdocumenttoaseparatemeetingeitherinTehranorinMoscow.Thisisbeingworkedon-twooptionsarebeingconsidered.Nodecisionhasbeentakenyet,"hesaid.
RussiaassumedtheBRICSpresidencyonJanuary1,2024,anditwillcontinueuntiltheendoftheyearwithmorethan200eventsonawiderangeoftopics.ThemaineventofthepresidencywillbetheBRICSSummitinKazaninOctober2024.IranjoinedtheBRICSonJanuary1,2024.
