A scientific-practical conference on "Victory Day - The History of Our National Pride and Honor" was held at the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Azernews reports citing the Ministry.
The conference was attended by representatives from the "Azerbaijan Judges' Union" Public Union, the Presidium of the Bar Association, the Scientific and Educational Center of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service, the Military Institute of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and various state institutions and universities. Representatives from educational institutions, trainees, and students also participated.
Azerbaijani cadets studying at several special higher educational institutions in Russia and at the National Police Academy of Turkiye, along with teachers and students from several higher educational institutions in the republic, joined the conference in an online format.
The participants of the conference laid flowers in front of the monument to the National Leader at the Academy and commemorated the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
The head of the Police Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Major General Janpolad Daanov, gave a speech expressing his views on the purpose of the conference. He emphasized the historical significance of Victory Day, which plays an exceptional role in the future development of our country, and highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation in a patriotic spirit loyal to the ideas of statehood.
A march dedicated to "Victory Day" was held with the participation of cadets. During the march, a flash mob titled "Our Glorious Victory is Eternal" was performed.
