A meeting with media representatives was held at the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company to get acquainted with the preparations for COP29, APA reports.
Representatives of a number of television channels and news agencies participated in the meeting.
Anar Alakbarov, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, member of the COP29 Organizing Committee, touched on a number of issues related to the conclusion of preparations for COP29. The assistant of the president noted that preparations for COP29 have been completed 100 percent.
Later, COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company organized a media tour to Baku Stadium, the conference venue. Media representatives got acquainted with the results of preparations for the conference as part of the tour held with the participation of the head of the Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva. Media representatives were given extensive information about the work done.
Heads of media institutions and journalists first got acquainted with the Blue zone of the Baku Stadium, where the conference will be held, and visited the pavilions of the delegations.
In addition, additional event rooms and special event rooms were inspected.
The largest hall of the stadium, the Nizami hall, was inspected, and it was emphasized that the hall is designed for 1600 participants. It was reported that there are 29 halls in total.
Plenary meeting halls, Media center and press conference rooms were presented to the participants of the media tour.
Then the electric vehicles that will operate during COP29 were reviewed. It was reported that about 500 cars will operate during the event. 210 of them will participate in a special cartouche at the Leaders' Summit.
At the same time, by visiting the Green Zone, the participants of the media tour got acquainted with the infrastructure created in the event space, the provided technologies, and various designated zones and spaces.
