The Western Azerbaijan Community (WAC) has called on UN experts to focus on the issue of Azerbaijanophobia in Armenia.
According to Olaylar, the Community positively evaluated the fact that UN experts raised the issue of deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia and the destruction of Azerbaijani cultural heritage in that country during the review of Armeniachr("39")s periodic report in the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
"We call on UN experts to keep the issue of Azerbaijanophobia in Armenia in focus and to carry out constant monitoring of media and internet space in this country. We also invite other relevant UN structures to consider the violation of Western Azerbaijanischr("39") rights during discussions related to Armenia and provide recommendations to this country to eliminate this injustice," the Communitychr("39")s statement reads.
