On June 24, the next session of the Chamber of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, the Press service of the Constitutional Court told APA.
At the meeting, in accordance with the Clause 1 of Part III of Article 130 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Article 7.1 of the Law "On the Constitutional Court", on the basis of the Decision of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1174-VIQR dated June 21, 2024 "On addressing to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the appointment of early elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan", a decision was made to consider the request of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the compatibility of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the dissolution of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the appointment of snap elections with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and to adopt it into the proceedings of the Plenum.
The request will be considered on its merits, with the participation of the parties, at the meeting of the Plenum of the Constitutional Court scheduled for June 27 at 10:00.
